Jean: Hey , who gave you that black eye?
Gordon: Nobody gave it to me. I had to fight for it.
This goofy joke is from 101 Wacky Kid Jokes by JB Stein, just one of the many reference books I'm reading to keep my act together because I'm 4 months behind schedule. I have to finish writing the novel by Christmas and must have the final draft by Thanksgiving in order to get it stuffed and ready for all the guests. I'm going to list some books that have been very helpful to me, just in case you are writing a novel as well, and anyone who has any good books to read please let me know. I'm making all this up as I go.

Thanks Michael and Pookie for the good books and funny joke. Fish and Ships. I love it. The Bad Seed must be super creepy and no one can deny Lynda Barry! She is sooo cool. Wait doesn't Pookie live at Lynda Barry's house? Hmmm FF
