Spontaneous Parakeetivity

I gave my parakeet Godzuki a grape shaped mineral block and check this out, she goes to the grape chews it, then scurries over to her mirror and licks a grape paste all over it. I think she's painting and she is totally obsesive about it. She's doing it right now.

It's Saturday morning; I'm staring at a board of post-it notes. I have to fit over 121 changes into a 150 page book and then edit it down enough so when I illustrate the book it won't be 500 pages long and bigger than a bread box.

My parakeet mocks me with her spontaneous creativity.

This is why I write this blog, to help us all finish what we started.
