The Sugar Valley Philharmonic, a large, improv
orchestra that runs relay races, is seeking musicians for its debut in the arts-focused, interactive
section of the Castro Street Fair (slightly to the left and off the beaten path from the main
festival).
This is the second incarnation of the musical performance model from Sugar
Valley 2005 where 'Lude the Narcotics-Addicted Clown played over a dozen (lu)duets with local
creative improvisors in exchange for eleven motrin, two xanax, several greyhounds and a crumpled
dollar bill.

Kielbasia is San Francisco's favorite Accordion Playing Drag Lunch Lady. She was named Main Squeeze
for 2005 at the SF Accordion Festival, and was picked Best Drag Queen with an Accordion by the SF
Bay Guardian for 2006. She plays accordion and sings original songs about working the lunch line,
old uncle's arthritis, and gambling in Reno. Her specialty shows honoring domestic divas Julia Child
and Martha Stewart had the crowd swinging their glasses and singing along, night after night. Covers
of tv and movie themes, accordion sing-along standards and classic rock crowd pleasers leave the
audience clapping and stomping for more.
